The girl screams…, Jaime says. No one has screamed, everything is silent, but there is something that bothers him. The other day I was shown a video showing a visit by a child with ASD and his mother to a shopping centre. Little by little, the multitude of stimuli around him and his inability to discriminate between them led him to end up shouting and throwing himself on the ground, a behaviour that was unpleasant for other people. A good example to understand many behaviours of people with ASD and how difficult it is for them to face an environment that constantly attacks them without having the tools to deal with it.
Let's admit that we all live surrounded by noise, both the noise that sounds and the noise that confuses us. It is not easy for us to discern everything we hear and to know what is worth listening to.
Girl, no shouting, says Jaime. Everything remains silent, and I don't want to make any noise.
